Crimes can be very typical at times, when the motto of the criminal is clearly understood, which could be money in most of the cases. Financial crimes are obviously related to money and needless to say that the employees are also involved at times, in such cases. However, there are very few occasions when the criminals try to profit from similar crimes, leading to a global financial crisis. The main reason for the current financial crisis is related to the banks, which have received a severe blow from the real estate market, where the mortgage values plummeted.
In these conditions the people, who were responsible for the mortgage frauds throughout the globe could be held responsible to bring down the market, even further. The condition of the mortgage assets could be improved, if the plots could be marketed properly. The basic notion that the asset holders had been that, they had to hold on to the directive and wait for the prices to come up. Instead the market plummeted and the banks could no more sell them off. In between the people, who had pulled out a mortgage fraud by giving over the property at a higher value than it originally was, made huge profit.
The government had arrested 406, such individuals who have been related in these types of frauds, and are to be prosecuted. Even the ex-fund managers of the Bear Stearns, have been arrested under the charges of their role in the fraudulent incidents related to the mortgage collapse. Under the judicial panel the crime of mortgage fraud is taken up under the sections of money fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud and bank fraud. Since the crime has increased in recent years, each state has decided over its own penalties for such crime leading to financial crisis.
The FBI has informed that they have around 42 mortgage-fraud task-forces, which have been working really hard to see the crimes pay. According to them the major losses incurred every year by the nation is through the subsequent mortgage frauds taking place. They look forward to take care of the individuals involved in these matters as sternly as possible, but the crime does not slow down.
In the recent days, the subsequent financial crimes have led to the eventual crisis, whose ripple effect is affecting the entire world economy. It is quite natural to prosecute the individuals responsible for the financial crimes, which has led to the worst financial crisis in a long time; maybe they are to be made an example for others to cut down financial crimes.
